The BF422 is a high voltage transistor. It can switch loads up to 250V with a very low trigger voltage. This feature makes it suitable for digital electronic equipment which operates at 5V. This transistor also has a good operating speed of 60MHz with a low output capacitance of 1.6pF. But the current gain is very low of 50. And, also have a low collector current of only 300mA.
