SMB, SS33 30V Surface Mount Schottky Barrier Rectifiers Diode pack of 5pcs
Product Description
These are Schottky barrier rectifiers mounted on a surface, intended for the SMB SS33 30V. Each of the five diodes in the package has a 3.0V drop across it. These are simple to incorporate into circuits because they are drop-in substitutes for the comparable Schottky barrier rectifier. Direct current (DC) is converted to alternating current (AC) using Schottky barrier rectifiers. This device is made of a semiconductor material that, on one side, joins with a metal, usually aluminum. The semiconductor has a poor electrical conductivity, whereas the metal has a high one. Electrons move from the metal to the semiconductor when a voltage is given to the junction. This process continues until the junction becomes forward-biased, which causes the electrons to move in the opposite way. A type of semiconductor device known as a Schottky barrier rectifier has a resistance that is higher than that of a forward-biased diode but lower than that of a regular reverse-biased diode.
