The T1117-5 sequence of adjustable and constant regulators is convenient to use and is included for quick circuits and thermal overloads. Thermal safety circuitry will shut down the regulator if the junction temperature exceeds 165°C at the feel point. Pin well matched with older three-terminal adjustable regulators, these units provide the benefit of a decrease in dropout voltage, extra specific reference tolerance and an increased reference balance with temperature.
