The P4KE62 series is specifically made to guard against voltage transients caused by lightning and other transient voltage events in sensitive electronic equipment. Transient voltage surge suppressors shield electronic equipment from transient voltage surges and surges in the AC line voltage. They shield delicate devices by limiting the voltage at the outlet to a safe level. Consumer, computer, industrial, automotive, and communications sensor units with ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines are shielded against voltage transients brought on by inductive load switching and illumination.
