The BU407 is a three-layer NPN device that operates within its working range. For a given collector emitter voltage VCE, a change in the base current IB causes a corresponding amplified change in the collector current, or IC. These are high voltage, high speed transistors used in TV and CRT output stages for horizontal deflection. Reduced switching and conduction losses are the result of quick switching times and extremely low saturation voltage.
