The adjustable and fixed regulators in the T1117-1.5 series are user-friendly and protected against thermal and short circuit overloads. The regulator will be deactivated by thermal protection circuitry if the junction temperature at the sense point exceeds 165°C. These devices are pin-compatible with older three-terminal adjustable regulators and provide enhanced reference stability with temperature, a more precise tolerance for reference errors, and a reduced dropout voltage.
