CD4017 Decade Counter SMD IC
The CD4017 is a Decade Counter/Divider IC in a surface-mount device (SMD) package, widely used for counting and sequencing applications. This IC is a Johnson counter that provides ten decoded outputs, each of which is sequentially activated in response to input clock pulses. It is ideal for creating time delays, LED chasers, or frequency dividers in digital and electronic circuits. The CD4017 features a clock input, a reset input, and ten outputs (Q0 to Q9). On each clock pulse, the IC activates the next output in sequence while deactivating the previous one, cycling back to Q0 after Q9. The reset pin allows the counter to be reset to its initial state (Q0 active) at any time, adding control flexibility. Operating over a supply voltage range of 3V to 15V, the IC is compatible with CMOS and TTL logic families. Its high noise immunity and low power consumption make it robust and efficient in various applications. Additionally, the IC has built-in logic to prevent undefined states during power-up, ensuring reliable operation.
Features:-
- Wide Supply Voltage Range
- Low Power Consumption
- Fully static operation
