IR2110 High and Low Side Driver SMD IC

The IR2110 is a high-performance high- and low-side driver IC, designed to efficiently drive MOSFETs and IGBTs in half-bridge and full-bridge power switch configurations. Available in an SMD package, it is widely used in motor control, power inverters, and other high-power switching applications that require efficient switching and reliability. This high- and low-side driver can drive both the high-side (top) and low-side (bottom) MOSFETs or IGBTs in a bridge configuration, making it ideal for applications that require full-bridge control. The IR2110 operates from a single 10V to 20V supply voltage, with the ability to drive a wide range of gate drive voltages, typically between 10V and 20V for the high side and 5V to 20V for the low side. A key feature of the IR2110 is its bootstrap circuitry, which allows it to create a floating high-side voltage, enabling it to drive the high-side MOSFET or IGBT with ease. The IC also provides under-voltage lockout (UVLO), ensuring safe operation by preventing low voltage from being applied to the power switches. The IR2110 can provide peak output currents up to 2.5A for both high-side and low-side drivers, ensuring fast switching and minimizing power losses. It is designed with built-in short-circuit protection and desaturation detection, providing additional protection for the power components during operation.
